Stone veneer in Crosby: what it costs you and what it returns

Nothing changes a Crosby house's presence faster than replacing a flat brick or stucco elevation with stone.

Natural stone is heavier, more expensive, and permanent. Manufactured veneer is lighter, cheaper, and — installed with a proper drainage plane and weep screed — indistinguishable from the sidewalk.

The failures we get called to fix are almost always installation, not material: no moisture barrier, no weep screed, and mortar smeared onto the joints instead of tooled.

Blend from multiple crates as you set, and dry-lay a section first. Stone set straight from one crate at a time reads as blotchy stripes.
