Heat & Glo fireplace installation
in Houston.
Heat & Glo builds modern and traditional gas fireplaces. Artex orders the units through a Houston distributor and installs them with the same crew that does the masonry, so the framing, the venting, and the finished surround are all one trade's responsibility. Most of these are sealed direct-vent units, which means combustion air comes from outside and the flue is a pipe run, not a masonry chimney. We have been building fireplaces in this market since 1992 — more than 1,800 fireplaces and chimneys — and every quote is a free written itemized estimate.
What we order
and set most often.
Availability moves with the distributor. If you have a model in mind, call and we will confirm it before anything is ordered.
Three reasons
it comes up on our jobs.
- The glass runs wide and the frame stays thin, which is what most remodels are after.
- Sealed direct-vent combustion means no room air pulled up the flue and no draft problems.
- We frame, vent, and finish the surround ourselves, so the opening and the unit actually line up.
A Heat & Glo unit is only as good as the opening it sits in. Most of the work on these jobs is framing, venting, and the surround — see fireplace installation for how we handle a full build, or gas log installation if you are keeping the firebox you have and only changing what burns inside it.
Heat & Glo installs
from our own jobs.

Photographed on Artex job sites in greater Houston. These are gas fireplaces builds of the same type we use Heat & Glo systems for — the appliance label is not visible in every frame, so we do not claim each one is a Heat & Glo unit.
