Houston is the widest range of masonry work we touch in a single city. Inside the Loop we are matching soft, lime-rich mortar on 1920s Heights bungalows, where a modern high-Portland mix would blow the faces off hundred-year-old brick. Ten minutes north in Garden Oaks and Oak Forest it is 1950s ranch chimneys with undersized crowns. Out along the Katy Freeway and Spring Branch it is 1970s and 1980s metal prefab fireboxes that nobody has lit in a decade and that are prime candidates for a sealed direct vent conversion.
